Hospice Quinte receives $25,000 from the province

Hospice Quinte has received some more support from the provincial government. The team has announced that they have received $25,000 from the government’s Ontario Senior Community Grant Program. The money is supporting a pilot project that is providing counselling services for caregivers. “We are incredibly grateful to receive this much needed support from the Province of Ontario. The COVID-19 pandemic has certainly impacted our organization, our volunteers and our clients. We have seen a rise in caregiver burnout and the need for supportive counselling during this difficult time. Now, with thanks to this funding, we are able to expand our existing program and better serve the community by adding supportive counselling for caregivers to our suite of services,” said Jennifer May-Anderson, Executive Director of Hospice Quinte.
