Pritzker, IL ARNG (Retired), announced a $2 million gift to the Greater Chicago Food Depository, bringing her total contributions towards pandemic relief efforts in Illinois to more than $4 million. Prior gifts were made during the past year to various organizations providing humanitarian and social services.

Jennifer Pritzker, the world’s first and only out trans billionaire, has said she’ll consider moving her wealth out of Tennessee because of new anti-LGBT+ state laws.
Pritzker is the only trans person ever included on the Forbes Billionaires list, with a net worth estimated at $2 billion. She is an ex-US Army lieutenant colonel and a member of one of the wealthiest families in the US, who founded the Hyatt hotel group.
Her private family trust is currently held in Nashville, Tennessee but she has threatened to move it due to ongoing attacks on LGBT+ rights in the state.

Proposals are required to focus on a rural 116ha site in Somers, Wisconsin where a new Pritzker Archives & Memorial Park Centre – designed by Jahn Architects of Chicago and Berlin – is currently under construction.
According to the brief: ‘The new Cold War Veterans Memorial will give permanent recognition to these and other accomplishments made possible by the often-quiet sacrifices of countless Americans during nearly half a century of fighting to expand freedom and democracy.

Jennifer Pritzker, a decorated military veteran and philanthropist whose estimated worth hovers around $2 billion, told lawmakers they are creating a hostile environment for her family and their vast wealth with their actions. In a statement, she threatened to pull both her funds and family from the state if Tennessee joins other Republican-dominated legislatures and passes the transphobic bills in a thinly-veiled attempt to appeal to their base of white conservative voters.
