Three injured, one flown to Nashville hospital, after Pembroke Rd crash

Hopkinsville Police Sgt. Rico Rodriguez says initial investigation determined a southbound vehicle veered into oncoming traffic near Casky Lane and struck two northbound vehicles. One man was extricated by the Hopkinsville Fire Department and flown by Air Evac to a Nashville hospital with a leg injury. Two other patients were taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries. Information Released In Fiery Hopkinsville Crash That Injured Three

Police have released the names of three people injured in a wreck on Pembroke Road near Casky Lane Wednesday afternoon. Hopkinsville Police say a westbound car driven by 18-year-old Daja Myers of Hopkinsville crossed into the westbound lanes and hit a truck driven by 53-year-old Kevin Grant of Hopkinsville then a van driven by 70-year-old Robert Bronaugh of Hopkinsville. Bronaugh’s van ran off the road and overturned trapping him inside. Myers’s car continued traveling down the roadway before catching fire. Bronaugh had to be extricated from his vehicle. Bronaugh was flown from the scene to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville with a broken leg. Myers and her passenger 42-year-old Antwan Teal of Clarksville were taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for leg and arm pain.

Plea agreement in the works for S Main Street stabbing suspect

Hopkinsville, KY, USA / WHOP 1230 AM | News Radio May 13, 2021 | 2:26 PM Proceedings were a continued with a possible plea deal in the works for John Chambers, the man accused of stabbing Maurice Catlett in January. A plea agreement seems to have been reached between Chambers and the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office, but public defender requested a small continuance to give him time to deliver that paperwork to Chambers at the Christian County Jail and have him sign it. At the moment, Chambers is facing a charge of first-degree assault in January, a verbal dispute between Chambers and Catlett became physical near the Manhattan Motel on South Main Street.  Chambers is alleged to have stabbed Catlett multiple times, causing injuries to his arm that sent him to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment.
