Christian County emergency personnel say a 36-year-old man cut his hand with a saw just after 1 pm.
The man was taken to a waiting helicopter at Jennie Stuart Medical Center that transferred him to an Evansville, Indiana, hospital.

A wreck on Princeton Road near Gilkey Lane sent a Hopkinsville man to the hospital Saturday morning.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say 28-year-old Deonte Weston was northbound attempting to turn into a driveway when his car collided with a southbound SUV driven by 48-year-old Cynthia Danick of Cerulean.
Weston was taken by private vehicle to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for what deputies say are non-life-threatening injuries.
The wreck happened just before 11 am.
Board attorney Jack Lackey Jr. added there are no hospitals within 100 miles that have any rooms available. Bentzel said it’s not “looking good” for students to return to traditional learning on Monday due to the increasing COVID numbers in the county, the hospital’s capacity, and a large number of teachers and staff in the district who are either positive or in quarantine.
Assistant Superintendent of Administration Laura Morris also provided an update about the COVID vaccine. She said educators are in the third-phase of receiving the vaccine, which is expected to be within the next couple of months. She added 802 of the district’s 1,193 employees have signed-up to get the vaccine.
