THE 3-YEAR-OLD VICTIM WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL HOSPITAL NOVEMBER 23, WITH THIRD DEGREE BURNS FROM A BATHTUB. DOCTORS THEN DISCOVERED HEAD TRAUMA AND OTHER INJURIES. FOLLOWING SURGERY, THE BOY WAS PLACED ON LIFE SUPPORT, AND HAS SINCE DIED. POLICE SAY KENNEDY-MCLEOD WAS THE BOYFRIEND OF THE VICTIM’S MOTHER. BOND WAS SET AT $100,000
Madin Ege Ali died at University Hospital at 6:23 a.m. from a gunshot wound.Â
According to Jeffersontown Police Assistant Chief Lt. Col. Steve Schmidt, officers responded just after midnight to the Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Louisville Hotel & Conference Center at 1760 Plantside Drive on reports of a shooting. The building doesn t appear to be currently in use as a hotel.Â
That s where police found Ali, inside a vehicle near Hurstbourne Pkwy., with a gunshot wound. He was taken to University Hospital in critical condition.Â
No arrests have been announced, and police aren t sure what led to the shooting.Â

It happened early Tuesday morning at the intersection of Bluegrass Parkway and Blankenbaker Parkway in Jeffersontown. As it turns out, he was just an innocent bystander who happened to get caught in the crossfire between some altercation between the other two gentlemen in their vehicles, Jeffersontown Police Chief Rick Sanders said. Each car pulled up to his left and to his right, and they were shooting at each other. And unfortunately, he was caught in the crossfire. We got the call that there had been a shooting at that intersection, we responded, we found one victim who had been shot in the chest.
