Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis.

Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your enrollment in an Academy class, please let us know as soon as possible. We can only offer full refunds if you cancel two weeks prior to the start of class. After that, before the start date of class, we can offer a 50% refund. We cannot refund day-of cancellations, and we cannot refund or partially refund tuition once the class has begun.

NPR Music s Tiny Desk series will celebrate Black History Month by featuring four weeks of Tiny Desk (home) concerts and playlists by Black artists spanning different genres and generations each week. The lineup includes both emerging and established artists who will be performing a Tiny Desk concert for the first time. This celebration highlights the beautiful cornucopia of Black music and our special way of presenting it. We hope you enjoy.

It makes me extremely pleased to read your observation of the relationship between poetry and song. In the antiquities poetry, song and music were a unified art form, they work used equally by bard and performers of all types. Today, this way of presenting poetry still thrives in some parts of the world, like where I used to live in Bamako, Mali West Africa, but in the US and Europe we most readily see it in Hip-Hop music.
