When a pair of top-rated running headphones goes on sale, you’ve got to jump on it and fast. Right now, Jaybird marked down their most popular Vista headphones from $179.99 to $129.99. That’s a whopping $50 in savings on a pair of earbuds that rarely go on sale.
The Jaybird Vista earbuds are a sleeker, more fitness-focused, cheaper alternative to Apple s AirPods. And “cheaper” is only referring to the price (especially with this sale), because the sound, design, and durability of these buds is extremely impressive.
They meet the IPX7 standards (most other competitors are rated at an IPX4) to be fully waterproof and sweatproof, meaning you can work out in any weather or condition without fear of them crapping out on you. JayBird calls them “earthproof,” because they can withstand the elements and are shock- and drop-resistant you won’t find a pair of earbuds in a compact design to be this durable.
Are my AirPods waterproof? What about AirPods Pro?
Unfortunately, no, your AirPods are not waterproof. Nor are they water-resistant. It doesn’t matter whether they charge wirelessly or with a lightning cable, you won’t find an IP rating of any kind. You could maybe wear them for a light workout, provided that you don’t work up too much of a sweat.

This makes them your top option as a workout companion, and they’ll stand up better against rain, too. However, this isn’t a suggestion that you should wear them in a torrential downpour. You probably shouldn’t wear them to shower or swim, either.
The Jabra Elite Active 75t headphones, winner of our 2020 Fitness Awards, are as close to perfect as wireless headphones can get. Thanks to their in-ear design, diminutive size, and the multiple silicone ear tip options, they stay securely in your ears and are extremely comfortable to wear. The headphones will play music for just over seven hours between stints in their charging case, which holds enough juice for three full charges. That means, unless you’re preparing for the Olympics, you only have to plug them in every few days. Plus, they’re about as water and sweat resistant as any fully wireless headphones we’ve tested. You could dunk them in a bucket of water for 30 minutes, dry them off with a paper towel, and put them back in your ears. On top of that, Jabra backs these buds with a
