Tom O’Connor said this morning that state government approval came through on Friday for up to
12,000 per day through the carnival.
Crowd-wise, last year’s carnival was a ghost meet because of
COVID and cost the club over
$600,000 and the city
$13.9 million in lost tourism revenue.

Tom O’Connor said “there’s a fair bit of excitement now” after weeks of speculation regarding crowd capacity both from the club and fans who have held back booking accommodation until the increased crowd capacity was confirmed.
