View Comments BRICK - An assailant still on the loose stabbed a 44-year-old man in the back in the parking lot of ShopRite on Route 70 in Brick Monday afternoon, authorities said. Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said there is no danger to the public, calling it a targeted attack in a statement on the crime.  Brick police officers discovered the victim with stab wounds to the back when they went to the parking lot of the supermarket about 4 p.m. Medics rushed the man to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune where he is listed in critical but stable condition, Billhimer said.
