Jason Vella, 39, entered into a guilty plea back in October of 2020 in Trenton Federal Court before U.S. District Judge Anne Thompson.
At the time,
He was arrested on September 19, 2019 by the Ocean County Prosecutors Office who executed a search warrant at Vella s home where they found 150 grams of cocaine in his possession, drug paraphernalia, $2,295.00 in cash as well as pieces of jewelry.
Vella was arrested alongside fellow mafia associate Mario Galli III, also of Toms River,
In addition to the 15-months in prison, Vella is being sentenced to three years of supervised release.

The
Brick Police Street Crimes Unit has arrested two residents from Toms River and three from Little Egg Harbor following separate drug deals that took place around lunchtime on Friday.
Shayna Palmieri, 31, of Toms River got out of her vehicle at the Wawa on Brick Boulevard around 11:30 am, police said, and got into the car of Dandre Tubbs, 33, of Toms River which is where a drug deal then took place.
Police pulled them over and found 200 wax folds of Heroin and 10 Xanax pills.
Palmieri is being charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin and possession of heroin and paraphernalia.
