Warren Co. says no thanks to $47M rockwall fence project on I-80 Updated Mar 13, 2021; Warren County’s top elected officials are asking the state to change its plans for a project in the Delaware River Water Gap. The Warren County Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously Wednesday to ask the New Jersey Department of Transportation to reevaluate and reengineer a proposed rockfall mitigation project between mile markers 1.0 and 1.5 on the westbound side of Interstate 80. The county resolution joins several municipalities in New Jersey and Pennsylvania that have passed their own resolutions stating opposition to the project.
