Hard Rock’s Rockin’ Rowers ‘win’ fundraising title
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City participated in the 2021 Gilda’s Club of South Jersey Dragon Boat Festival on July 11 at Lake Lenape. The casino’s team, Rockin’ Rowers raised more than $17,000 and was named top fundraiser.
In addition to team member fundraising and event sponsorship, Hard Rock Atlantic City initiated a silent auction at the event to generate additional revenue for the charity, which included two tickets to see Guns N’ Roses, an autographed Tim McGraw guitar and an autographed Beach Boys surfboard. Team Members alone raised more than $12,000.

NJ nursing homes are struggling with major staff shortages
The report, conducted by the American Health care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living, finds:
• 94% of nursing home providers said they have had a shortage of staff members in the last month. In assisted living communities, 81% said they had similar staffing shortages.
• More than half of nursing home and assisted living providers lost key members of their staff last year during the pandemic due to workers quitting, including among certified nursing assistants (CNAs) or direct caregivers and dietary staff.
• Almost 75% of nursing homes and nearly 60% of assisted living communities said their overall workforce situation has gotten worse since 2020.
