One of the most popular programs from the New Deal is making a comeback, nearly 90 years later.
President Joe Biden recently signed an executive order to create a Civilian Climate Corps. The initiative, he wrote, will provide “good jobs” for young people and train them for environmentally friendly careers, putting them to work restoring public lands and waters, planting trees, improving access to parks, and of course, tackling climate change.

New Jersey is home to several well-regarded online degree programs, if US News & World Report is to be believed.
The rankings date back to the 2015-16 academic year, so the numbers won’t reflect the influx of online learning that took place because of the pandemic.

The Distance Education State Almanac 2017 noted that 30,353 college students in New Jersey took exclusively online courses in fall 2015. This represented 7.2 percent of the state s collegiate population, which was nearly half the national average for this metric. Sixty-nine percent of New Jersey s exclusively distance learners were in-state residents, 30 percent were out-of-state students and 1 percent were from foreign countries.
BU Women Split Weekend Series
After losing the first game (43-38) of a back to back at the events center this weekend, the Binghamton University Bearcats women’s basketball team defeated Albany 64-52.
Bearcats guard Denai Bowman was the high scorer for BU with 21 points, had her first career double double, and scored more than 20 points in a game for the fourth time this season.

The Bearcats offense scoring over 60 points once again and tied a season high of fourteen assists while out rebounding the Great Danes 38-29 .
Yesterday was also Senior day and although the pandemic prevented a crowd of people to honor the Bearcats one senior, forward Kaylee Wasco, the team presented her with a special video from her parents who could not be there because of COVID protocol.
