In September, United Airlines announced a whole slew of new routesâincluding nonstop flights to Accra, Ghana, and Lagos, Nigeria, from Washington D.C. s Dulles International Airport and year-round nonstop to Johannesburg from New Jersey s Newark Liberty International Airport. Among those flashy international announcements were two new, first-ever United flights to Hawaii. Starting in June, the airline will connect travelers with nonstop flights from the New York City area to Maui and Chicago to Kona. Today, they ve added an additional new daily route, connecting Orange County s John Wayne Airport with Honolulu, which will launch in May.Â
Come summer, United will fly more than 20 nonstop routes between the mainland and Hawaii.
