New Jersey brick and mortar casino revenue soared in April, fueled by what many industry insiders describe as “pent up demand.”
Data from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, which regulates the state’s casinos, show that the nine gambling establishments brought in $189.6 million from their casino floor winnings this past April. They brought in nearly $185 million in March.
All nine casinos had to shutter in-person operations during April last year in a bid to halt the spread of COVID-19. And so, the NJDGE notes that there cannot be a valid year-over-year comparison. Rather, insiders are looking at 2021 comparisons to 2019 – a year that scored numerous record-breakers for the casino industry.

LeoVegas is set to enter the US regulated online gambling space through a partnership with casino powerhouse Caesars Entertainment, Inc., news emerged Monday.
The online casino and sports betting operator announced that New Jersey would be the first stop in its US expansion as the company has recently sealed an agreement to enter the Garden State’s iGaming space with its flagship LeoVegas brand.

Online casino games maker and provider Pariplay has launched its products with major gambling operator Codere in the Colombian regulated market as part of a deal the two companies struck last fall.
Titles by Pariplay have recently made their debut on the games tab of Codere’s Colombia-facing website as the Malta-based studio looks to cement its position in the lucrative LatAm market.
Last year’s agreement with Codere was one of a series of such deals that would see Pariplay launch its content in Colombia. The partnership will also see the provider
integrate its games with Codere’s Mexican business. It should be noted that Pariplay first entered Mexico in early 2020.
