10 N.J. bars, restaurants face liquor license suspensions over COVID-19 rules violations charges
Updated Dec 11, 2020;
Ten New Jersey bars and restaurants face liquor license suspensions for violating Gov. Phil Murphy’s restrictions on eating and drinking that are designed to slow mounting cases of the coronavirus in the state, officials announced Friday.
The announcement came after the state Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control launched a campaign to make sure establishments were following Murphy’s orders, which includes a ban on indoor food and beverage service between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., prohibition on bar-side seating, masks and social distancing, officials said. The enforcement actions carry a minimum 10-day suspension for each business.
