Sheron Smith From Cleveland Schools Is Tennessee Teacher Of The Year Finalist Thursday, June 3, 2021
The Tennessee Department of Education on Thursday announced the nine statewide finalists for the 2021-22 Tennessee Teacher of the Year award. Sheron Smith from Arnold Memorial Elementary School in Cleveland is one of the finalists.
The nine finalists represent each of the eight Center of Regional Excellence areas in the state as well as the Shelby County-Municipals area, with three finalists in each Grand Division: West, Middle, and East.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - As the Mid-South slowly returns to normalcy and COVID-19 vaccines circulating, the Shelby County Health Department issued a new health directive Wednesday limiting mask requirements.
In alignment with the health department, Mid-South schools are issuing new mask policies for their students and faculty.
Below is a list of schools have updated their policy:
Collierville Schools: Masks will become optional for both students and employees.
Germantown Municipal School District: Masks are not required but highly recommended.
