The signers, who called themselves âFlag Officers 4 Americaâ showed that the reactionary ideology on display then is being embraced by people far more influential and possibly dangerous than the mix of far right Trump followers that overwhelmed Capitol police that day.

Hundreds of retired military officers on two separate continents have attached their names to public letters warning democracy is in peril, and a retired army officer says to dismiss their pleas is to ignore the warning signs.
In April 23, retired French officers warned that their nation was heading for disintegration and civil war” if the national government did not address the impoverished Muslim ghettos that that ring major cities.
An estimated six million Muslims live in France in Sharia law-compliant neighborhoods that are off limits to non-Muslim citizens and where police officers complain they are in danger on the public streets.

Promise Keepers is back – and like the first go-round, it has plenty of critics who have no idea what the organization is about.
In a recent op-ed in USA Today, Mike Freeman argues that Promise Keepers should not be allowed to rent Dallas AT&T Stadium – or any other NFL venue – for an upcoming conference. By allowing this conference to happen at one of football s meccas, and by AT&T allowing it, he wrote, they are helping to mainstream hate speech.
