For the few of you who managed to find PS5 console stock and buy one successfully, there s good news. The special PS5 DualSense controller is now reduced in price by £5 if you buy one with a special code. Not a huge discount, but if you were planning on getting a spare controller for some split-screen gaming, this could be a decent moment to do so. Cutting edge tech like this isn t likely to be cheaper for a long time.
The new DualSense controller has been a big selling point for Sony - the adaptive triggers and nuanced haptic feedback are designed to be as immersive as possible. There s also a built-in microphone, touch pad, and a fairly decent battery life to boot, considering all the hardware that s crammed into it. Since launch, we ve seen that the Series S has been much easier to get hold of compared to the Series X. According to Microsoft, the release of both consoles has been the biggest Xbox launch ever, so it s not as if people don t want it. Perhaps, as the least expensive of the next-gen machines, it makes sense for Microsoft to prioritise getting it out there for the Christmas sales period.
It s clear, though, that demand for the Xbox Series X is still very high. Stock of the more powerful console has been popping up in stores in the US this week such as Best Buy and Walmart. Meanwhile, in the UK, online tech retailer Box will be drawing its ballot for its next batch of Xbox Series X consoles in the coming days. As for other retailers, we just don t know if any will be available before the year is out.

Though it s not a big sale, demand is certainly high enough that we thought it worth mentioning: Super Mario 3D All-Stars is currently going at a reduced price from select retailers in the UK. Certainly worth paying attention to, as a) a lot of people will be buying over Christmas, and b) physical copies of 3D All-Stars won t be around forever.
Yes, it s true: Nintendo are only planning to make physical copies until the end of March, and the game has been in high demand partly for that reason (though Nintendo has also said that digital downloads of the game will be around indefinitely). 3D All-Stars is a collation and remastering of three classic Mario games - Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy. Everybody has their favorites, but you re sure to find at least one here that you love.

The EA Star Wars Triple Bundle is here, and it s down from £90 to just £36 if you re buying on the Microsoft Store. It comes with Star Wars: Squadrons, Jedi: Fallen Order and Battlefront 2, as well as special upgrades for the latter two.
The three games offer distinctly different takes on the Star Wars experience. Squadrons is all about space fighter combat, Fallen Order is about being a lone jedi roaming the galaxy, and Battlefront 2 is about being one soldier among many in vast battles. Something for every kind of Star Wars fan, at least until somebody makes a Cantina management sim with optional arm dispensary.
