Vibrant Church lead pastor Jason Delgado has resigned amid allegations of sexual harassment.
In Delgado’s letter, he acknowledges his “inappropriate behavior” and said he reached his decision to step down after eight weeks of professional counseling.
“Through this process, I have concluded that the best decision for me and my family is to resign as Lead Pastor of Vibrant Church,” Delgado’s letter reads. “Please understand, this is my decision. I wholeheartedly believe that what is best for us is for me to step away from ministry for now and focus on myself, my marriage, and my family. I sincerely apologize for inappropriate behavior that violated the pastoral trust you have given me. I am deeply sorry for any pain, hurt, or disappointment that I have caused you, and I humbly ask for your forgiveness.”

TORRINGTON – Heather Frieland Delgado, age 48, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, April 2, 2021.
Heather was born Jan. 9, 1973, in Waterbury, Conn., the daughter of Maria Delgado of Waterbury. She attended local schools and spent several years working as an EMT for Campion Ambulance, Torrington Division. Heather was very artistic and enjoyed painting and drawing as well as spending time outdoors.
Heather’s life revolved around her family and she was always happiest in the midst of her family enjoying time together. Heather will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to honor Heather’s love and legacy, besides her mother are her children, Joseph Delgado of Waterbury and Kevin Hills of Torrington. She also leaves her twin brother, Jason Delgado, as well as Craig Delgado and Stanley Tatarnowicz, all of Waterbury, and her sisters, Nicole Delgado of Waterbury, and Michelle Fontanez of Fleming Island, Fla., as well as many nieces and nephews.
