According to Film Ratings, Sony Pictures’ highly-anticipated horror-comedy sequel Ghostbusters: Afterlife has officially been given a PG-13 rating from the MPAA for “supernatural action and some suggestive references.” The first two original Ghostbuster films had both previously received a PG rating while Paul Feig’s 2016 version was also rated as PG-13. Starring franchise newcomers McKenna Grace and Finn Wolfhard, the film is still set for a November 11, 2021, theatrical release. Ghostbusters: Afterlife will focus on a new family with single mom Callie (Carrie Coon) and her two kids, Trevor and Phoebe (Finn Wolfhard & Mckenna Grace) who move into a beaten-down farmhouse in Oklahoma only to discover that there’s something strange in the neighborhood.
