March is Women’s History Month and March 8th is International Women’s Day, a day honoring women around the world. For this year’s IWD, Charlotte Peterson chats with one of her local everyday heroes, Jamie Ross.
Jamie is a mom, educator and recording artist (J Ross Parrelli). She founded BEATS, LYRICS, LEADERS and co-created a Hip Hop Curriculum that is now being piloted with youth everywhere. Her unique musical talent and passion for empowering the next generation is infectious and is making a difference with everyone from at-risk youth to aspiring young artists, using Hip Hop education to change the world.

A renovation of Anderson House and creation of 26 new homes are next on the agenda of a £5.8 million regeneration scheme in the north-east.
Fraserburgh 2021 conservation area regeneration scheme is entering its final year and is going to be one which promises further significant investment in the town.
The programme has already brought about the three-year revamp of Saltoun Square’s Faithlie Centre and work is ongoing on the creation of a hotel in the former John Trail bookshop and Clydesdale bank premises in the town centre.
