On May 21, Hindman will present its spring Atlanta Collections auction which blooms with artwork, furniture and decorative objects from important regional collections and estates and some sales will benefit area non-profits. The auction is a discovery sale with something of interest for all.
The majority of the auction is comprised of property from several notable Georgia collections, many of which are being sold to benefit local charities. Early landscape and portrait paintings from the Estate of Stewart O. Cunningham will be sold to benefit Historic Macon Foundation’s Lanier Education Endowment Fund while artwork and sculpture from the Estate of Anne B. Eldridge will be sold to benefit The Booth Museum of Western Art and The Salvation Army.

ROCHESTER/ROCHESTER HILLS/OAKLAND TOWNSHIP The Detroit Institute of Arts’ 2021 Inside|Out program will once again bring art to the Rochester area this summer.
Amanda Harrison, the DIA’s community engagement manager for Oakland County, said the art museum launched the project in 2010.
“This is a wonderful project that was inspired from our director at the time, who took a trip to Europe and noticed these works of art from the museums there out in the community. It’s an unexpected way to experience these masterpieces from a world-class museum in your own space,” she said.

As it turns out, a lot of moms have been left unsatisfied with their home more than 1 in 4 wish they had purchased a different home, according to a new study by LendingTree. Moms are also nearly twice as likely to experience homebuyer’s remorse than dads, only 14 percent of which experience those same feelings of regret toward their home.
For this report, LendingTree commissioned an online survey through experience management firm Qualtrics of 1,006 parents with kids aged 18 or younger. The survey ran from April 8 through April 15, 2021.
