The Great North Air Ambulance and Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team were in action over the bank holiday EMERGENCY volunteer team members had their bank holiday interrupted when their help was needed on two occasions. At 2.50pm on Easter Monday, Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team was contacted by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service control room and asked to assist with the rescue of a man who had fallen from an off-road trail bike and injured his leg near Keld. The team was quickly on the scene, joining an ambulance crew and paramedics. The Great North Air Ambulance was also tasked and attended.

A four-year-old boy was treated for head injuries following a collision in Cumberland Road, Middlesbrough A FOUR-year-old boy was taken to hospital with minor head injuries after being involved in a collision with a car. A woman in her fifties has been arrested in connection with the incident, which happened at about 3.40pm on Saturday, on Cumberland Road, Middlesbrough. It involved a silver Ford Fiesta and a four-year-old boy. The boy was taken to James Cook University Hospital with minor head injuries and he was detained for observation, a spokersperson for Cleveland Police said.
