Residents who are excited for St. Patrick’s Day can celebrate a little earlier this year.
“Leprechauns are on the loose along Greensprings Interpretive Trail, and it’s your chance to strike gold!” according to the James City County Parks & Recreation’s Facebook post. “Track down our Irish friends and then complete the scavenger hunt quiz as you wander past beaver ponds, wetlands and forests.”
The scavenger hunt is free and open to the public. However, those wishing to participate who are younger than 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Participants can access the quiz by using a smartphone or other handheld device to scan each “pot o’ gold” placed along the trail.
