According to police, the crash occurred on January 31 at about 10:45 a.m. James City County Police and Fire Departments responded to the 4300 block of Longhill Road, where they found a 2007 Cadillac upside down and submerged in a swampy area. The driver and vehicle s only occupant, 26-year-old Vanessa Nicole Gray, was trapped in the vehicle underwater. Medics extricated her from the vehicle, and she was taken to Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center breathing on her own but unconscious.

Depending on qualifications, basic law enforcement certified officers would start as either a Police Officer I at a salary of $43,500 or Police Officer II with a salary of $45,674, according to the Jan. 28 announcement.  JCCPD describes itself as a “mid-size department offering opportunities in Marine Patrol, Underwater Search and Recovery, SWAT and Police Motors,” according to the department’s website. Authorities said the man in the surveillance footage allegedly stole products from the Bath & Body Works store in the Williamsburg Premium Outlets. (WYDaily/ Courtesy of JCC PD) Authorities are looking for a man suspected of stealing products from a store at the Williamsburg Premium Outlets. On Dec. 27 at approximately 6:50 p.m. a man went to the Bath & Body Works store, put “several items” in a bag and left without paying for them, according to a James City County Police Department’s news release Wednesday. Police described the suspect as a 40- to 50-year-old Black male with a “slender build.” When asked why the police department was just now asking for the public’s help in identifying the man, Stephanie Williams, spokeswoman for the police department said there had been a delay with Bath & Body Works providing surveillance photos to the department.
