We don t make anybody choose this role or choose this position because it s passion, said Lisa Jackson, foundation director for Jamestown Regional Medical Center. SANE nurses are paid for their time, but it s time on top of their regular duties. It s not an easy thing to do, said Jackson. At Jamestown Regional Medical Center, the program isn t in its regular budget. Training and paying for their eight SANE nurses comes from fundraisers and grants from the state.

Non-profits Benefit from Upcoming Giving Hearts Day

This is our final update as we feature numerous Jamestown non-profit organizations participating in Giving Hearts Day on February 11th JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 24-hour fundraising event Giving Hearts Day makes a return to North Dakota and northwest Minnesota on Thursday, February 11th. Since the first ever Giving Hearts Day in 2008, donors have given more than $90 million, with 100% raised going directly to participating charities. There are more than 490 different charities and impacts donors will be able to select during the event. Locally, 16 organizations will participate in Jamestown. One of those non-profits is the Anne Carlsen Center. Kelsey Ost is the Associate Development Director for ACC.
