Some mentionable names included in the paved project include Louis L’Amour, Anne Carlsen, Anton Klaus, Elizabeth White, Alfred Dickey and more.
Swedlund explained there was a consensus to only posthumous figures.
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Public Works Committee made the motion to approve using some of the Prairie Dog Funding received for the University of Jamestown stormwater project.
The funding is part of House Bill 1066 to allocate money to cities in non-oil producing counties for “essential infrastructure projects.” Jamestown Mayor Dwaine Heinrich reported that the city had received $2.5 million in funding for such projects.
The project would assist in financing the project as part of the Taylor Stadium renovation. City Engineer Travis Dillman says they’re working on design and will hope to have it designed and bid by February.
