The military has identified the bodies of nine more soldiers who were killed in the C-130 plane crash in Jolo, Sulu, Philippine Air Force (PAF) spokesperson Colonel Maynard Mariano said Sunday. Philippine Air Force spokesman Col. Maynard Mariano assured the public on Sunday that the Armed Forces of the Philippines has enough air assets to continue its service despite the C-130 aircraft s tragedy in Sulu on July 4. The PAF s C-130 plane left Cagayan de Oro City on Sunday to bring troops to Sulu when it overshot the runway and crashed in the municipality of Patikul. Forty-nine troops and three civilians on the ground were killed, while 47 soldiers were injured.

Liputan6.com, Manila -Filipina akan mengirim kotak hitam pesawat Lockheed C-130 yang jatuh pada akhir pekan lalu ke Amerika Serikat, untuk mencari bantuan ahli dalam membuka dan menganalisisnya.
Hal itu disampaikan oleh Kepala Militer Filipina, Cirilito Sobejana.

The Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) and the Philippine Air Force (PAF) on Thursday concluded their first air-to-air bilateral training on Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HA/DR) at Clark Air Base in Pampanga, marking a significant milestone for defense cooperation between the two neighboring countries.

In a statement, the Japanese Embassy in Manila said Japan is proud to share with the PAF the JASDF’s experience and knowledge on delivery operations of relief goods to people in urgent need considering that both countries are vulnerable to natural disasters such as earthquakes and typhoons due to their climate and topography.
