A 25-year-old man is expected to appear at Johannesburg Magistrates Court on Monday 15 February 2021 after he was arrested for smuggling, dealing and possession of counterfeit goods. A collective, consisting of South African Police Service, South African National Defence Force, Department of Home Affairs, ER24 and brand holders raided the buildings in Brixton and Johannesburg CBD after getting a tip-off about the storage of counterfeit goods. The items confiscated include international and local brands of sneakers, shirts, bags and watches.
