In the lead up to President Trumpâs final days in office, there was a lot of speculation around potential federal pardons and who he might hand them out to. One of the names repeatedly floated was
Tiger King lead Joe Exotic. Unfortunately for the reality star, however, the list of nearly 150 people dropped, and he was not on it. Never one to keep his thoughts to himself, the reality star took to Twitter to talk about what happened and explain why he thinks he didnât get pardoned.
Even by Joe Exotic standards, the post dropped on an account alleged to belong to the Tiger King is pretty juicy. In it, he calls out Donald Trump Jr, says he was used for social media boosting and claims heâs âtoo innocentâ and âtoo gayâ to deserve a pardon. You can check out the whole tweet belowâ¦

The Netflix star expressed his disappointment at the former president s snub and has said he was stupid to think Donald Trump Jr. stood for Equal Justice. I was too innocent and too GAY to deserve a Pardon from Trump, the 57-year-old tweeted from his uncertified account on Wednesday. I only mattered to Don Jr. when he needed to make a comment about me to boost his social media post. Boy were we all stupid to believe he actually stood for Equal Justice? His corrupt friends all come first.

The limousine “Tiger King” star Joe Exotic booked in hopes of receiving a presidential pardon was indeed a stretch after all. In more ways than one.
Team Exotic was reportedly so confident about the Netflix docuseries star being pardoned by former President Donald Trump that he had a limo parked near his Fort Worth prison and elaborate plans to be whisked away for a medical evaluation and pampering. This, after the embattled zoo operator, whose real name is Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage, mounted one of the most high-profile campaigns to receive a pardon.
Exotic was sorely disappointed Wednesday when he was excluded from the list of pardons and commutations that came during Trump’s final hours in office. Exotic, convicted in April 2019 on federal charges of animal cruelty and attempting to hire a hitman to kill rival Carole Baskin, had choice words for the former POTUS and his son Don Jr. But it was too little, too late.
"I was too innocent and too GAY to deserve a Pardon from Trump. I only mattered to Don Jr. when he needed to make a comment about me to boost his social media post," the post from Exotic’s account reads.
Carole Baskin has expressed her relief after learning her nemesis Joe Exotic s request for a pardon from former US President Donald Trump has been denied.
However, in an interview with Metro, the Tiger King star, 59, admitted she remains fearful that 57-year-old Joe – who is jailed for animal abuse and an attempted murder-for-hire plot on Carole – will finish what he set out to do .
She said of Joe remaining in jail: It’s such an absolute sense of relief because it’s not just been waiting yesterday and today, it’s been from the day he was sentenced that we have been concerned that he could receive a presidential pardon.
