Two people stabbed in fight between pro-and anti-Trump groups at NYS Capitol

New York State Team ALBANY - Two people were stabbed outside the state Capitol on Wednesday after a fight broke out between supporters and opponents of President Donald Trump, State Police said. Multiple people were arrested after the scuffle between what appears to have been a confrontation between people who associated themselves with the Proud Boys, known as an extreme right-wing group, and Antifa, the extreme left-wing anti-fascist movement, according to the Times Union of Albany.  Just hours before a pro-Trump protest at the U.S. Capitol turned violent and led to a riot through the hallowed halls, State Police in Albany said troopers responded to a stabbing during a small pro-Trump rally in the East Capitol Park.

In New York, House GOP members split or mum on presidential certification vote

New York State Team ALBANY - Rep. Elise Stefanik, a Republican from Saratoga, said she plans to object to some electors on Wednesday as Congress meets to certify the Electoral College vote for President-elect Joe Biden, saying, I am acting to protect our democratic process. And new Rep. Nicole Malliotakis of Staten Island said she will probably do the same, telling a radio show Monday her goal is ensuring every vote that is counted is a legal one. But other House GOP members in New York are either planning to vote to certify Biden’s electoral college victory over President Donald Trump or are mum on their plans, showing the divide among Republicans in the state and the nation over unfounded allegations of electoral fraud.
