JONES COUNTY, Miss. (WDAM) - The Jones County Sheriff’s Office captured a woman wanted on a drug charge Tuesday.
Sandy Tucker, 34, was arrested on Ira G. Odom Road in the Johnson community after tips from the public led to her location.
Tucker was wanted for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
“We thank the public for the tips and leads that led to Sandy Tucker’s capture,” JCSD Narcotics Division Sgt. Jake Driskell said in a news release. “We are relentless in our pursuit of those who are involved with illegal drugs in Jones County. Just know that our narcotics agents are always on the lookout for those dealing and using illegal narcotics here.”

JONES COUNTY (WDAM) - Less than 48 hours into 2021, Jones County firefighters already have responded to three structure fires, including a pair on Saturday night.
The first of Saturday’s two calls came about 8:30 p.m.
Upon arriving at 54 Clinton Road in Moselle, first responders reported that Heather Hilton’s single-wide mobile home and a small shed behind the home was fully engulfed in flames.

The 33-year-old Barksdale, a native of Washington County, but who lives in Jones County with his wife, Katie, and their three children, was sworn into office by Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit Superior Court Judge Brenda H. Trammell during a special ceremony held in the Jones County courtroom.
âIt is a pleasure to swear to him in, and Iâm very excited to do so,â said Trammell in her opening comments to a courtroom of family and law enforcement officials from throughout the eight-county judicial circuit.
