Nevada County police blotter: Caller reports conflict over dogs being off leash

Friday 12:52 p.m. A caller from a business on Manion Canyon Road reported an ongoing issue with a home owner screaming at their delivery drivers and driving erratically when the their trucks are in the area, almost causing collisions. The home owner also called, informing that they had repeatedly called the company to complain about their delivery drivers’ speed. Advice was provided to both parties. 1:22 p.m. A caller from Jackass Flats Road, near Tyler Foote Crossing Road, reported a vehicle traveling over 100 miles per hour. 1:38 p.m. A caller from Highway 49, near Alta Sierra Drive, reported a vehicle unable to maintain lanes and varying speeds.

(KSLA) - Crews with the Shreveport Fire Department were called to put out a fire in the Highland neighborhood on the morning of Tuesday, Feb. 23. The call came in just before 6 a.m. to the 400 block of Jordan Street. That’s in the same block of Woody’s Home for Veterans. The first crew to get on the scene arrived within three minutes.

Two-alarm fire in Shreveport s Highland Neighborhood destroys two homes Tuesday

KTBS 3 Roof cam SHREVEPORT, La. - Around 75 firefighters fought a massive two-alarm fire in Shreveport s Highland neighborhood Tuesday Morning in which two vacant houses were destroyed.  It started just before 6 a.m. in the 400 block of Jordan Street.    Fire Chief Scott Wolverton said five water tankers from South Louisiana responded to the scene. I can t says enough about these men that came out from South Louisiana to help with these tankers. We didn t have sufficient hydrant pressure from all the hydrants that were on scene about 20 PSI was all we had. That s not enough to sustain operations. They were able to provide about 25,000 gallons of water on scene and they ve helped us on scene getting it extinguished, Wolverton said.
