Bayern Munich managed to overcome their shock DFB-Pokal exit in midweek with a 2-1 win over SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga on Sunday evening.
Two changes from Bayern from the league loss against Borussia Monchengladbach last Friday saw the return of Jerome Boateng and Kingsley Coman.
Freiburg were forced to make a change early in the match when an injury to Baptiste Santamaria resulted in the introduction of Amir Abrashi.
This gave the Bavarians stimulus to take the lead on seven minutes which Robert Lewandowski duly took when he sliced home a through ball from Thomas Muller.

RB LEIPZIG DISLODGED Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga table this evening as Dani Olmo’s second-half goal was enough to seal a 1-0 win at Stuttgart.
With European champions Bayern at home to strugglers Mainz tomorrow, Leipzig took the chance to go a point ahead as Olmo fired through the legs of Stuttgart goalkeeper Gregor Kobel.
Stuttgart’s Swiss shot-stopper had earlier pulled off some heroics by using his foot to save a Emil Forsberg first-half penalty attempt.
