Police investigate after man injured in Hill District shooting Share Updated: 6:48 PM EDT Apr 18, 2021 Police Lights Share Updated: 6:48 PM EDT Apr 18, 2021 Pittsburgh police are investigating after a man was injured in a Hill District shooting Sunday.Officers responded to multiple ShotSpotter alerts for the 1900 block of Bedford Avenue and 1900 block of Webster Avenue around 5 p.m.When officers arrived, they were directed to a male gunshot victim.A responding officer applied a tourniquet to the victim’s leg until EMS arrived.Medics transported the victim to a local hospital in stable condition.The Mobile Crime Unit arrived to process the scene.The investigation is ongoing.
Updated: 6:10 PM EDT Apr 18, 2021 Four more Granite Staters have died of COVID-19, health officials said Sunday.Officials said the four were all ages 60 and older, and none of the deaths were connected to a long-term care facility. Two of the deaths were from December 2020, but had not been confirmed as related to COVID-19 until now. There have been 1,270 deaths attributed to COVID-19 in New Hampshire since the pandemic began.Current hospitalizations increased by six, to 133, health officials said. Hospitalizations are now at their highest level since Feb. 11.Current cases dropped by 114 to 3,140, officials said.There were 308 new positive test results announced Sunday, for a current PCR test positivity rate of 2.8%.Health officials said 24.6% of Granite Staters are now fully vaccinated for COVID-19, while 47.4% have received at least one dose.
