Kane Cornes has detailed the first thing heâd do if he were in John Worsfold s new position as coaching mentor to Carlton s David Teague.
Following Saturdayâs 103-85 loss to Brisbane, Teague was again positive despite the result, reaffirming his belief that the side is on the right track.
Speaking on
Channel Nineâs Sunday Footy Show, Cornes thinks Worsfold should encourage Teague to deliver the âhonest truthâ when addressing supporters.
âMaybe John Worsfold has come in at the right time,â Cornes said.
âThe first thing Iâd be doing if I was John is sitting David (Teague) down and saying, âGive us the honest truthâ.

Kane Cornes has recalled an unusual punishment for Port Adelaide players who turned up to the club in poor shape during his playing days.
After conceding the highest Grand Final margin of all time to Geelong in 2007, the Power players were sent to the Christmas break with a threat.
“We were given strict instructions, ‘if you are over your skinfold target when you come back, you will be severely financially sanctioned and you will be put in the fat club’,” Cornes recounted on
SEN SA Breakfast.
