WEST FARGO A national settlement with carmaker Volkswagen over the company’s misrepresentation of diesel emissions for their products proved to pay off for West Fargo. The West Fargo Fire Department received a nearly $1 million grant from the state of North Dakota, which it will use to replace a 2008 pumper truck, one of the department s most expensive investments, and also help pay for a new rescue truck that was approved for purchase last fall.
