WASA to ensure additional 5m gallons water supply daily

Rawalpindi : Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) would launch a project soon to ensure water supply of additional 5 million gallons to the citizens daily, said Director General (DG) Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Abdul Sattar Isani.
During his visit to Rawal Lake Filtration Plant he said a project would be launched soon to supply additional 5 million gallons water to the residents daily.
WASA Managing Director, Raja Shoukat Mehmood on the occasion informed the DG that Rawal Dam was built in 1962 and a Rawal Lake Filtration Plant was also installed to supply clean drinking water to the residents of Rawalpindi city.
DG RDA visits development projects

Rawalpindi : The Director General (DG) Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Captain (r) Abdul Sattar Isani has visited various development projects,says a press release.
He checked dualisation of Dr Qadeer Khan Road from Islamabad Highway to Falcon Complex, construction/widening and improvement of Dry Port Road from Rahimabad flyover at Airport Road to Welfare Complex via Chaklala Railway Station, Shell Depot, and building three pedestrian bridges on Airport Road.
He appreciated construction work on Dr Qadeer Khan Road as 2.25 km road work has been completed. He directed that construction work on Dr Qadeer Khan road, Dry Port Road and three pedestrian bridges on Airport road should be completed as soon as possible, so that the sufferings of people could be lessened.
RDA seals eight illegal plazas on Chakri Road

Rawalpindi: Under the direction of the Director General (DG) Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Captain (r) Abdul Sattar Isani, Land Use and Building Control (LU&BC) Wing’s staff conducted an operation against illegal/unauthorized constructed commercial buildings and sealed eight illegal Plazas in location Mohra Chhappar, Hayal Dhamyal and Mohri Ghazan on Chakri Road, Rawalpindi.
Building Control Wing has been actively conducting operations against illegal/unauthorized commercial cum residential construction activities including plazas, shops, schools and other illegal land use encroachments within the controlled area of RDA in Rawalpindi. LU&BC Wing’s staff including Building Inspectors Asim Nawaz Khoker, Aamir Mehmood Malik and others carried out operation.
