A young mother accused of child neglect left her baby alone in a west Dublin hotel room in wet and dirty clothes and with a bottle propped up by a towel, a court has heard.
Gardaí were called and found the four-month-old in his buggy abandoned in the room while the mother (22) was allegedly out in an intoxicated state .
The case was adjourned after Blanchardstown District Court heard the woman has not yet decided how she intends to plead.
She is charged with wilfully neglecting, ill treating or abandoning her baby in an incident at the Clayton Hotel, Liffey Valley, under the Children Act.

Thomas Griffin, 47, followed staff behind the counter of BoyleSports in Dublin in July 2018 before threatening them with a brush handle he had taken from the toilets, making off with a tray of notes and a bag of coins worth €500.
Griffin, of Ross Road in Dublin, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to robbery at the bookmakers on Dame Street.
Griffin was a regular at the shop who had spent most of the day in question gambling there and had even bought one member of staff some chips before deciding to rob it on a whim , his lawyers said.

A woman who stole more than €20,000 from her company social club and company credit card spent the money on luxury holidays and shopping trips, a Dublin court has heard.
Nicola Henry (32) was the secretary of the Johnson & Johnson social club when she wrote 37 cheques to herself, forging her colleagues signatures.
She received a total of €17,326 from 27 of these cheques, which she spent on luxury holidays to Australia, Sri Lanka and Dubai, as well as restaurants, shopping trips and beauty treatments, Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard today. The other 10 cheques bounced as there wasn t enough money in the account.
Henry, an office manager with the Tallaght-based company, was suspended when the thefts came to light. She then went on to spend a further €3,233 using the company credit card, Detective Garda Kevin Bowen told the court.
