Billy McGuire was found seriously injured in the early hours of Monday morning A MAN has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a dad in Clydebank just days before Christmas.   Billy McGuire died in hospital after he was found seriously injured in an address in Perth Crescent, Mountblow. Police were called in the early hours of Monday, December 21, where Mr McGuire, 25, and another man, 34, were rushed to hospital.   Cops have now revealed a 24-year-old man has been arrested and charged over the alleged murder.  Detective chief inspector Alan McAlpine, of the Major Investigation Teams, said: “Our enquiries continue and I want to thank the community for their assistance so far.

Liam Moir appeared from custody at Dumbarton Sheriff Court A MAN has been put under the supervision of social workers for terrifying his former partner after Christmas. Liam Moir, 29, previously admitted assaulting the woman, seizing her by the neck, compressing, punching her on the head, all to her injury between December 25 and 26 last year. He was a bail order from the month before the attack in Clydebank. The offence was aggravated by being against a partner or ex. Appearing from custody at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on December 18, Moir was said to have been in a relationship with the woman for about 10 years and she frequently stayed at his then home in Singer Street.

Francis Miller released after weeks in jail for bail breaches

Dumbarton Sheriff Court A CLYDEBANK man has been released from jail after spending almost a month behind bars for repeatedly failing to comply with a court’s instructions. Francis Miller, 27, failed on three separate occasions to comply with a bail condition which required him to stay within his registered address between 7pm and 7am. The court s instruction also required Miller to answer the door at any time during those hours to police checking on his whereabouts. Miller was released on bail from Dumbarton Sheriff Court on April 27 this year, but failed to answer when police knocked on his door at Ellinger Court on August 21, September 5 and November 8.
