During a Friday morning news conference, Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins remained masked-up, citing new guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Jenkins said new evidence shows COVID-19 can spread indoors beyond six feet. He urged people to wear masks at all times indoors if not at home.

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported
2,438 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, with 12 deaths. He encouraged Dallas residents to stay home when they can. “Holiday shopping for both food and gifts can be done online or over the phone with curbside or at-home delivery. Although this requires a little more planning, it will be well worth it in keeping you, your family, your community and ultimately your country a little bit stronger,” he tweeted.
