In the latest instalment of our series where we take a look at the upbringing of our scholars, today we focus on left-back Alex Kpakpe who was inspired to play football by his cousins and recalls his days playing handball.
What is your first memory of playing football?
I would’ve been five years old, playing around in the garden with my two older cousins, Ryan and Steven Sessegnon [Ryan is at Tottenham, Steven at Fulham]. From that age I could see their talent which really inspired me to become a footballer.
Where did you play your football before joining Chelsea as an Under-14?
A 16-year-old has been arrested after stabbing another pupil at a school in south London.
Footage shared online showed a number of police vehicles outside Elmgreen School as pupils headed home in Tulse Hill, London on Thursday afternoon.
The victim, also 16, suffered minor injuries after being stabbed, police said.
It comes just days after two teenage girls were also stabbed in the area - around half a mile from the school.

The Canadian town of Tumbler Ridge – population 2,000 – had its internet-bearing cable chewed through in the early hours of Saturday.
Beavers were the culprits in this crime against rural information distribution as they got their sizable incisors into the 4.5-inch conduit connecting the town on the edge of the Rocky Mountains in British Columbia.
According to a local news outlet, service provider Telus said internet was down for about 900 customers in the community, presumably interrupting the nocturnal enjoyment of
Due South or something.
Spokeswoman Liz Sauvé said in a statement that the incident was very bizarre and uniquely Canadian after workers discovered a beaver chewed through cabling near their dam at multiple points.
