KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Police in Kalamazoo Township stopped the theft, but are still looking for a group of individuals who they say stole mail from mailboxes on Humphrey Street.
The Township of Kalamazoo Police Department says officers observed that group of individuals acting suspiciously in the 1800 block of Humphrey Street around 9:00 a.m. Thursday. When officers approached the area to investigate the subjects fled.
Officers found discarded backpacks containing mail for approximately 28 homes in and around the township.
TKPD officers are working to return the mail and identify all the suspects involved in the thefts.

KALAMAZOO CHARTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. â The Township of Kalamazoo Police Department is working to return stolen mail to about 28 homes.
Officers saw a group of individuals acting suspiciously Thursday morning in the 1800 block of Humphrey Street, and they fled when officers approached, a news release said.
Police found discarded backpacks containing the stole mail.
The affected homes are located in and around Kalamazoo Charter Township.
Officers are working on identifying all of the individuals involved in the thefts.

Police deemed the deaths as “suspicious,” according to a press release issued Wednesday.
Township of Kalamazoo police believe the deaths occurred sometime after 9 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 28, according to the press release.
Police were called to investigate the suspicious deaths on Tuesday, Dec. 29 at the 3700 block of Parkside Drive.
The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call silent observer at 269-343-2100 or the Township of Kalamazoo Police Department at 269-488-8911.
