REGION There is a wide range of possibilities for entertainment this weekend:
• The Tri State Gun Show will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Allen County Fairgrounds, Lima. The plans include more than 400 tables of modern and antique guns, knives and sporting equipment. Admission is $6, with children under 18 free. Food will be available. Rotary Club blood clinic: 7 to 9 a.m., New Bremen High School commons, New Bremen.
NEW BREMEN The New Bremen/New Knoxville Rotary Club blood clinic will be from 7 to 9 a.m. Saturday, March 6 at New Knoxville School multipurpose room and March 27 at New Bremen High School commons.
Joint Township District Memorial Hospital will provide low-cost blood screenings, including a basic health panel, PSA, thyroid, c-reactive protein, HgB A1Cm and vitamin D. The most expensive test is $40.
Pre-registration is not required.

LIMA Where would we be without the skilled healthcare professions in the community? Probably in a lot worse shape in light of the ongoing pandemic.
When the pandemic hit last spring, Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center had to adapt overnight to a new normal.
“Within the walls of the hospital, we had to look at the various roles and skills of our healthcare workforce and be ready to adapt and to be working in different areas to use different skills and to be willing to be trained in new areas,” said Ronda Lehman, president of Mercy Health Lima. “We needed to reach out to patients in a different way.
