Date Time Police update 1: Appeal for information: Fatal traffic crash, Thuringowa Central Police have charged a seventeen-year-old teenager, following the fatal traffic crash in Thuringowa Central on Saturday night. Police will allege the 17-year-old Aitkenvale teenage girl, was a passenger of the stolen Hyundai sedan, which was involved in the fatal traffic crash, causing the death of a 22-year-old Currajong woman. The teenage girl has been charged with five counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count of stealing. She has been denied police bail and is expected to appear in Townsville Children’s Court tomorrow (February 8).

  THE number of young criminals fronting Townsville courts has risen sharply over the last five years, with the city recording the highest number of cases in regional Queensland.
