Hewitt-Trussville High School teacher among 16 finalists for Teacher of the Year

MONTGOMERY The Alabama State Department of Education announced finalists for Alabama Teacher of the Year. Jeff Schrupp was selected as the District VII Secondary Teacher of the Year. He is now one of 16 finalists up for the title of Alabama 2021-2022 Teacher of the Year. The pool will soon be narrowed down to a top four and the winner will be announced in August. Alabama’s Teacher of the year will then go on to be a candidate for National Teacher of the Year. During the school year, Alabama’s representative will serve as a full-time ambassador for education and teaching profession and will present workshops to various groups.

Staff report Graduation ceremonies for the class of 2021 have been scheduled at the nine public high schools in the Tuscaloosa County and city school systems. The six high schools in the Tuscaloosa County School System will go first, with graduation ceremonies spread out over three days. (WBRC) - The Tuscaloosa County School System is actively seeking bus drivers and bus aides, with immediate positions available for hire. To help you gain the certifications for driving a bus, they provide all the hands-on training needed. A Class B CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements, alongside your State of Alabama School Bus Operator’s Certificate, will be obtained when training is complete.
