A 15-member search committee says the process is underway and it includes a national advertising campaign. Interested applicants are encouraged to review online information about the library and position. Applications are asked to be submitted to Tompkins County Human Resources by January 31st. Search Committee chair Blixy Taetzsch says the library is looking for a dynamic leader and communicator who is passionate about expanding library access and continuing a commitment to excellence. Current director Annette Birdsall is retiring this spring.
