Man dies after being stabbed in Uttara

A 24-year-old man was stabbed to death in Dhaka s Uttara yesterday night, while another was seriously injured in the attack.
Shakil Hossain, 24, suffered serious wounds and was declared dead at 10:30pm after being referred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) from a hospital in Uttara.
The injured was identified as Shagor, 23. He is undergoing treatment at an hospital in Uttara, Bachchu Miah, in-charge of DMCH police outpost, confirmed.
The 24-year-old man was from Dakshinkhan and would live with his family. He was the second of three siblings. As the doctor s confirmed Shakil s death, his relatives forcibly took away his body. I have informed the concerned police station about this, Bachchu said.

Elderly woman dies after being hit by motorcycle in Dhaka’s Rayerbagh

An elderly woman was dead after a motorcycle hit her in Dhaka s Rayerbagh area this morning.
The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately. Police primarily suspected that the deceased was a beggar.
The accident happened around 10:45am when the woman was crossing the road near Institute of Child and Mother Health in Matuil. She was hit by a motorcycle, leaving her inured.
The biker Md Razib took her to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in an auto-rickshaw. Doctors at DMCH declared her dead around 11:30am, said Bachchu Mia, in-charge of police outpost at the hospital.

Body of a Dubai expat with a scarf around his neck was found on Kuril flyover in Dhaka early today.
The victim, Subhash Chandra Sutradhar, was coming to Dhaka from his home in Bogura last night to catch a flight on Saturday to return to Dubai.
Police suspected he was murdered as his body bore injury marks and a scarf was tied around his neck, Shahinur Rahman, sub-inspector of Khilkhet Police Station, said.
On information, police recovered the body around 5:00am from the flyover and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy, he said.
