Chairman Emeritus of Tata Group, Ratan Tata, who has been heading the conglomerate for decades has shared an old picture with Jehangir Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata, whom he calls his friend and mentor. Ratan Tata took to sharing the old picture, where the duo can be seen standing in front of a statue of Jamsetji Tata, founder of the Tata Group. The picture appears to be taken in front of Jamsetji Tata s statue in Jamshedpur. Tata shared the picture to mark the birth anniversary of Jamsetji Tata.
Shares of Tata Motors were trading at their highest level since May 2018, up 5 per cent to Rs 344.45 on the BSE, on Tuesday after the company s sales growth in the month of February outperformed sector peers across domestic commercial vehicle (CV) & passenger vehicle (PV) segments.
The Tata group company reported a strong 54 per cent year-on-year (YoY) growth in domestic sales at 58,473 units in the month of February 2021. It retained the positive momentum in passenger vehicle (PV) segment and reported 119 per cent year-on-year (YoY) jumped at 27,225 units. The February sales have been the highest-ever sales for Tata Motors PV in nearly 9 years (107 months), the firm said.

Tata Motors shares ended 5.36 per cent higher at Rs 345.70 on BSE on Tuesday
Shares of Tata Motors rallied nearly 6 per cent in intra-day trade to hit record high of Rs 347.10 on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Tuesday. Investors sentiment was buoyed by strong February sales. The auto major had reported a 51.07 per cent rise in total sales at 61,365 units in February as compared to 40,619 units in the same month last year.
Shares of Tata Motors edged higher by 8 per cent to Rs 329 on the BSE in intra-day trade on Tuesday on the back of heavy volumes after the company outlined ambition to reach double-digit commercial vehicle (CV) margins and high single-digit passenger vehicle (PV) margins in coming years. It maintained plans to attain zero debt (excluding leases) by FY24 through strong operating cash flows and divestments. At 03:08 pm, the stock was trading 6 per cent higher at Rs 322 on the BSE, as compared to a marginal 0.01 per cent risen in the S&P BSE Sensex. A combined around 130 million equity shares changed hands on the NSE and BSE.
